It has been a busy weekend after a busy week so I'll be posting the Clothing Sew Along post on Tuesday. Also, don't forget to drop by on Thursday to show off the things you've made at Make it, Wear it. Plus, I just announced my GIANT giveaway.
Now, on to sewing! I was able to finish up a few things I was working on last week. Sort of. We'll start with the successes. I finished the birthday towels.
Which of course were the wrapping for the "real" gift, the shirts. Because who doesn't want a birthday shirt? Okay, I don't.
And then the "sort of" finished project is the new manly lunch bag. Bag number 1's zipper was ripped out so I decided to make manly lunch bag number 2 with a velcro closure. This is the inside pocket.
Every kid needs a good place to tuck away notes for daddy. The lunch bag is the perfect place. The problem with the lunch bag is that it isn't big enough to hold the manly lunch. So I'm starting over.
Wouldn't you like to find little notes when you opened your lunch?

Very cute, very fun! Love the towel "wrapping" paper idea! Kudos to you!
