Easter Brunch

As Easter approaches I've been considering a table setting for an Easter Brunch. The problem is, I don't usually do fancy. Table settings and centerpieces aren't something I think about often. So I made a mock Easter table and now I need your help!

I thought I knew how I wanted to set the table. When I started photographing I decided I didn't like what I had envisioned in my head. So I switching things around. Then switched them around more.

I used my square white dishes. These aren't our every day dishes. Those are melamine. Because everything here breaks. I hope we aren't the only house like that. Though I do love the white dishes and look forward to the day we'll be able to use them daily. They are heavy and sturdy and we've had them for years. They say Target Home on the bottom but during a recent trip to Target I noticed they are now branded as Threshold from Target.

You'll notice my new lapkins. These cute egg cups are from the dollar spot. That's moss. It did not deter anyone from eating those chocolate eggs. I love the little nest. Perfect addition for any table with children.

I also bought this new Threshold white table cloth. Oddly, we didn't have a white tablecloth before. I was a bit scared of the white. For good reason. We spilled on it constantly when it was on the table. Thankfully it washed up like a dream.

So, which table setting do you prefer?

You're just hungry for a cupcake now aren't you? That cute cupcake stand is also Threshold from Target.

I am partial to lemons. (Incidentally, that wire basket and those salt shakers are also from the dollar spot. I have problems. They're definitely not paying me to buy everything from Target.)

But I think the flowers were the way to go.

It’s Time for Springtime.
