Most of you know we moved. My husband moved across the country in May. The kids and I packed up the beginning of June, vacationed with family, then arrived in the new destination in July. We still haven't moved in. What? Oh no. We had decided to get new flooring. And make a pantry. And a few other changes which are taking forever and ever. But this is the week we'll get in. I'm 95% sure. Friday we're moving our boxes in. Or I'm buying a tent and sleeping in the yard. Either way, we'll be there.
I haven't really taken any photos of the house. Except for a few on instagram.
In case you were wondering, I decided not to paint the front door. The photo on the right is my bedroom. Just waiting for their floors… But I love how bright it is!
With this little renovation, I decided to get rid of the simple pedestal sink in the powder room and paint the walls. It was a fine pedestal sink. I just don't happen to love pedestal sinks. The paint is that brown color you find in so many homes. Don't get me wrong. It's not bad. It's warm. But I like bright. I wish I had a photo to show you but the bathroom is currently in a state of undress.
I need to find a vanity, but here's the most fun part. I'm getting a Delta Faucet that is totally amazing. The Touch20 Faucet is perfect for turning on a faucet with messy hands. Or little kid germy hands. Because I'm in possession of 8 of those. Hands, not kids.
The Touch20 Technology has a 4 inch sensing field around the entire faucet. Once the handle is in the on position, the faucet automatically responds when a user approaches the sensing field. No infrared sensor is used. When you move your hands back out of the range the water intuitively shuts off.
This is the smart phone of bathroom faucets, people. And it's super reliable because it doesn't have infrared sensors like those annoying public restrooms where you have to wave your hand in front forever hoping to trip the water flow. I can't wait!!
When picking out my faucet on-line I got a little lost in Delta's fun quizes to determine my style. I thought they were silly before I started one and then once I finished that I searched around the site for more. How did they know I love to cook by those answers I gave them? I do have a bone to pick, however. On the question about what I wanted to be when I grew up? There was no dolphin trainer option. So I picked DJ because it sounds fun now and maybe I'll be one when I grow up. You never know.
I'm lost when it comes to a specific style of decor that I love. I'm a bit eclectic. My house may look confused, at times. But I know what I like when I see it.
The quizes and fun guides helped me choose the Addison Touch20.xt faucet in stainless. (that's it above in the photo but it is shown in a different color). I knew it was the one for me when I saw it. I can't wait to install it!! They assure me it comes with good instructions for installation. I sure hope so. I'll let you know how that goes… Perhaps I'll even want one in my kitchen!
See, look how fun these quizes are!
