Okay people, you are all crafty and creative. I am leading a craft for about 30 great ladies this week and I have a few ideas but sometimes I think that what I'd want to "craft" is not necessarily what others would want to craft. So help me out, would ya? Here are my ideas:
Hand sew a
knit flower so people know how to embellish their own t-shirt using a tutorial like this one from Appliqué Your Way
.
This really isn't that hard, but people won't leave with a whole finished shirt. They will have a flower or two they can hand sew onto their shirt at home. But flowers aren't for everyone.
Then there is this easy apron. I found over at Tales & Trials. No sewing involved. Cute. But, maybe everyone doesn't need an apron.
How
about a marble magnet? I've never made them but they are cute and Not Martha has an easy tutorial. Plus, who doesn't want a magnet?
And then I got to thinking, I have all these leftover rulers from when we made notepads so why don't I do something with them? And I came up with this.
Clearly they are functional (always a plus with a mixed group of crafters and not so crafters). They can be dressed up, or not dressed up. Most importantly, they hold precious cargo. But, they aren't that interesting, or maybe they are!
And for those of you interested, here is my tutorial for the "magnetic clipruler". So, what is your vote? If you were coming next week, which would you choose? And if you have a great idea of your own please share!
