Do you ever have weeks or months in life that are just less busy and relaxing? I'm coming off a bit of that now and have been thrown back into the "crazy." As I type this I'm procrastinating. Here's what's on my plate:
- This week: leave for an extended vacation visiting family and friends and meeting my darling new niece! (thank you for all the prayers, my brother and sister-in-law were able to adopt this sweet child of theirs and are currently moving back to the U.S. where she'll need more surgeries)
- End of month: move to new state 3,000 miles away. (yes, if you're counting that is 4 states in the last 6 years...)
- Next month: settle in new state without husband, who will be a month behind us. Get big girl started in school. Unpack.
- Month after that: have 4th baby, hopefully not early.
And you know what? Tomorrow will worry about itself.
Don't forget, next week is the Daphne Dress Sew Along. If you don't have your kit yet, don't worry. The posts will be there forever for you to do at your own speed!! If you have any questions or concerns about your kit, please feel free to email me or leave a comment.
Still working on the Great DeStash Challenge? Link your projects you've been making here! I'll leave this link up all month so go take a peek at what everyone has been making.
Have you sewn a Go To Dress? I've seen a few of them around the blog world and hey are so cute! If you can, please post a picture in the Flickr group. (Flickr is free and a great way to share your photos)
Next month I've officially coined Sewing For Baby month. I hope you'll drop by for some inspiration. I've got pattern reviews (and sales!) and projects I've made, tutorials and guest bloggers. I'm wondering if I'll have time to make anything from this book
, which I've been eying. And if you've been wanting an easy sew along that would work for a boy or a girl? Well, look no further! Let me introduce the
Look for this in September. It's the Little Cap by Leila & Ben (there will be a discount). The pattern is sized for 6 mo to 5T. I'll be giving you some hints and tips to size it for your baby. Hopefully we can all come up with some cute boy or girl versions. This cap takes about an hour to make and is perfect for beginners. It is also perfect for using up scraps.
Looking for a sew along for boys right now? From an Igloo is doing a Sew-A-Long for Lil Blue Boo's hoodie at the end of the month. Go check it out!
***I have a great line up of guest bloggers in the next few months. If you'd like to do a guest blog or giveaway a product, please let me know.***
